This year, the Junior League of Greater New Bern proudly embraced the theme Rooted in Purpose, Growing in Impact—a reflection of our deep commitment to service, leadership, and community connection across Eastern North Carolina. Through intentional projects, community partnerships, and vibrant member engagement, we made meaningful strides in strengthening our impact and expanding our reach.

Here’s a look at our 2024–2025 League year highlights:

August 2024
Our member Kelli represented JLGNB at the Junior League’s Organizational Development Training (ODT) in Norfolk.

Members gathered downtown for our first “Coffee & Conversations,” reconnecting and welcoming new faces.

October 2024
Volunteers staffed our booth at MumFest, New Bern’s signature fall event, to promote our mission and connect with the community.

We hosted another Coffee & Conversations at Toad’s Coffee.

JLGNB joined the New Bern Parks & Recreation Trick-or-Treat event at Union Point Park, handing out fang-tastic treats and fun for local families.

November 2024
Held a League Board Retreat at Aegon Spa to focus on governance and self-care.

Volunteered at RCS (Religious Community Services) to support their vital mission.

Honored Veterans Day with a special tribute to all who serve, especially the incredible women veterans among us.

December 2024
Participated in Giving Tuesday through the New Bern Chamber of Commerce.

Launched the 5th Annual Prom Boutique dress collection (Nov 30–Dec 15).

Hosted a special evening at RCS with a tour of their facilities.

Showcased our Live Window Display at The Baker’s Kitchen, featuring a preview of boutique dresses and collecting donations for the Prom Boutique.

January 2025
Held Super Saturday Provisional Training, where new members explored League history, leadership development, and community impact.

February 2025
Introduced our first-ever Game Night at The Old Pinnix! Members enjoyed fun, laughter, and some friendly competition around communication games.

March 2025
Celebrated Women’s History Month with our Spotlight Series highlighting local women leaders.

Partnered with RCS to host a Diaper & Feminine Product Drive, providing essential supplies to women and families in need.

April 2025
In honor of National Volunteer Month, we celebrated our members’ dedication and community spirit.

Hosted a fun and interactive League interest event at Beary the Hatchet—a perfect chance for women to “axe” questions and learn about joining JLGNB.

May 2025
Our Annual Meeting & Celebration reflected on a successful year, recognized member contributions, and looked ahead to the future. The evening included a special tour of the Colonial Capital Humane Society.

June 2025
Closed the year with sunshine and smiles at our End-of-Year Pool Party.

July 2025
The Board Retreat set the foundation for an exciting 2025–2026 League year with fresh goals, continued growth, and renewed energy.
