At Junior League of Greater New Bern we live in the moment. To us, that means adjusting our focus according to our community’s most pressing needs. Our work is always evolving, and that keeps us on our toes, striving for progress, and preparing to take on whatever comes next.
Our current community goal of provide volunteer hours in the New Bern community and surrounding communities through our programs and with partnering with non-profits can be achieved by doing working with local non-profits, volunteering and raising funds, and implementing programs. So far, we have done we have organized our first annual fundraising event and have been coordinating with local charities to assist with volunteering to achieve this, and are working to expand our volunteer opportunities and implement charitable programs from our group.
Our goal is to help Greater area of New Bern women develop civic leadership skills through the work they do, then put those talents to work in the communities that need it. Our current focus of providing access to food to fight the food scarcity in our area and to support young women and families in our communities. gives women opportunities to grow, while positively impacting the communities where they live and work.

Our League of leaders creates real change by advancing social activism-focused projects that directly benefit the communities of New Bern. By giving women the tools to lead, educating them about their communities’ needs, and helping them put their unique brand of creativity and skill to work, Junior League of Greater New Bern is making a big impact on New Bern and surrounding areas.
We’re Transforming New Bern Communities By Challenging the Status Quo
No matter what we’re currently focusing on, Junior League of Greater New Bern work centers around improving our local communities through effective action and leadership. We have identified provide volunteer hours in the New Bern community and surrounding communities through our programs and with partnering with non-profits. as the most pressing issue in our community right now, and we are helping local women take action to resolve it. So far this year, we have assisted with the Craven County Department of Social Services with assisting the delivery of meals to elderly who are unable to get out. We are also providing delivery service to elderly for groceries and prescriptions. We believe that these impactful actions have the power to bring us closer to our goal of reducing food scarcity in our area and access to food.
