Focused on the Heart of New Bern, North Carolina

At the Junior League of Greater New Bern, we embrace the present moment. It means adapting our focus to the most urgent needs of our community. Our journey is ever-changing, fueling progress, and readying us for whatever lies ahead.

Our ongoing mission to contribute volunteer hours within New Bern and its neighboring communities is achieved through collaboration with local non-profits, volunteering, fundraising, and program implementation. We’ve initiated our inaugural fundraising event and partnered with local charities for volunteering. Expanding our volunteer opportunities and implementing charitable programs is our ongoing endeavor.

Our ambition is to nurture women’s civic leadership skills, channeling these talents into communities in need. Presently, our efforts focus on alleviating food scarcity in our region and supporting young women and families. This dual mission fosters growth opportunities for women while positively transforming our local communities.

Enriching Leadership Roles Across New Bern and Beyond

The Junior League of Greater New Bern goes beyond volunteering. Our League of leaders generates authentic change by spearheading social activism-oriented initiatives that directly enhance the well-being of New Bern’s communities. By empowering women to lead, educating them about local needs, and harnessing their unique skills and creativity, we significantly impact New Bern and its surroundings.

Challenging the Norm for New Bern’s Transformation

Irrespective of our current focus, the essence of the Junior League of Greater New Bern revolves around enhancing local communities through effective action and leadership. Addressing the immediate need for volunteer contributions in New Bern and surrounding areas is our central concern. We’re convinced that these impactful steps bring us closer to our goal of mitigating food scarcity and ensuring food accessibility.
